Experteer Overview
As Platform Engineering Manager, you will steer the technical evolution of IKEA's global Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform to support customer and commercial capabilities. You translate strategy into executable engineering plans and ensure delivery teams follow secure, scalable practices. You balance platform roadmap delivery with product needs while limiting customisation and technical debt. You provide technical direction across the Dynamics 365 ecosystem and foster internal capability growth alongside external expertise. Fluent English is essential.

• Contribute to the Dynamics 365 platform roadmap and oversee engineering delivery, quality, and sustainable adoption.
• Prioritise the engineering backlog, balancing platform capabilities, integration demand, reliability, and debt reduction.
• Provide 360-degree technical direction across architecture, security, data, integration, and product teams.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards, guardrails, CI/CD, testing, environments, deployment, and release practices.
• Guide fit-for-purpose use of Dynamics 365 and related Microsoft technologies, minimising unnecessary customisation.
• Lead secure, scalable solutions for Case Management and future capabilities like contact center and B2B lead management.
• Translate requirements into technical options, dependencies, estimates and delivery plans with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Drive consistency in engineering practices, tooling, architecture patterns and ways of working with internal and external teams.
• Reduce technical debt and platform complexity through rationalisation and recovery of legacy solutions.
• Ensure platform changes consider security,



privacy, resilience, performance, accessibility, supportability and cost.
• Mentor engineers and promote modern engineering practices and capability transfer from external partners.
• Provide technical leadership to delivery teams and align solutions with target architecture and standards.
• Collaborate with Platform Operations Owner to ensure run readiness and operational considerations in plans and releases.
• Contribute to governance forums on platform design, standards, investments, risk and progress.
• Define and monitor platform-level quality and non-functional requirements (NFRs) and incorporate them into design and release decisions.
• Establish and improve quality engineering practices including automated testing, performance and security testing, and production validation.

Responsabilidades
• Formal training in information technology, computer science or equivalent experience
• Extensive experience as software engineer, solution/platform architect, technical lead or engineering manager
• Strong experience designing and delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Power Platform solutions in complex environments
• Practical understanding of Dynamics 365 extensibility, integrations, APIs, data, security roles, environments, ALM and release management
• Experience leading platform modernisation and reduction of technical debt or rationalisation of legacy solutions
• Understanding of platform delivery cost drivers and trading off commercial implications
• Ability to take ownership, make timely decisions and maintain momentum in ambiguity
• Delivery-focused, analytical and persistent in solving complex technical issues
