Experteer Overview
As a Datacenter Consultant, you will manage global data center infrastructure, oversee deployment and lifecycle activities, and support expansion and retirement of hardware. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve hardware issues, maintain asset inventories, and ensure compliance with standards. This role offers hands-on data center work, collaboration with remote teams, and opportunities to impact reliability and efficiency at scale in a leading tech services firm.

• Manage deployment, operations, and lifecycle activities of general data center infrastructure across multiple locations
• Perform racking, stacking, installation, and commissioning of servers, storage systems, and related hardware
• Support data center infrastructure expansion, production onboarding, and hardware readiness
• Execute decommissioning and retirement of legacy infrastructure
• Troubleshoot hardware-related issues including power supplies, batteries, controllers, cabling, and connectivity
• Coordinate inter-site hardware movement, logistics, and vendor communications
• Maintain asset inventory, lifecycle tracking, rack elevation details, and infrastructure documentation using DCIM tools (SunBird, DC Track, Nlyte, Device42)




• Use ITSM/project tools (ServiceNow, Jira) for incident management, requests, changes, and operations coordination
• Collaborate with remote data center teams and engineering groups to diagnose and resolve incidents
• Monitor adherence to SLA and MSA commitments across Data Center operations
• Manage facility requirements (space, power, cooling, cabling, fiber)
• Provide hardware asset details and tagging for procurement and billing
• Execute physical cabling and power setup for new environments
• Ensure compliance with data center standards, safety, and best practices
• Support health checks, preventive maintenance, and incident resolution processes
• Deliver regular status reports to stakeholders and management
