Experteer Overview
In this role you lead the backend Java platform, while remaining hands-on with Java 21/Jakarta EE on JBoss EAP. You will design and deliver scalable, reliable backend services and integrations, focusing on platform reliability and release management. You collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA, Frontend, and Operations to translate requirements into technical solutions. You mentor engineers, promote engineering excellence, and steer architectural decisions. This role offers the opportunity to shape a large-scale financial software platform and drive modernization and impact.

• Lead design, development and maintenance of Java 21/Jakarta EE backend applications on JBoss EAP 8
• Design scalable, reliable software aligned with business and architectural requirements
• Drive decisions for REST APIs, SOAP integrations, messaging, persistence, and overall architecture
• Coordinate requirement translation with Product Owners and stakeholders
• Own application releases, deployments, environments readiness, and production rollout activities

• Work with Oracle databases including data modeling, performance tuning and schema evolution
• Support frontend teams during backend integration when needed

Responsabilidades
• Expert-level Java development with Java 21, Jakarta EE, JPA/Hibernate, Maven multi-module apps
• Strong understanding of software architecture and enterprise design principles
• Experience building/consuming REST and SOAP services (JAX-RS, JAX-WS)
• Experience with Oracle databases, SQL optimization, schema design, data persistence
• Experience with JMS and enterprise messaging platforms
• Strong testing practices (JUnit, Mockito, integrations)
• Experience with release management, deployments and production support
• Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate with technical/non-technical stakeholders
• Mentoring, coaching and code-review skills
• Ability to balance hands-on coding with leadership responsibilities
