About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance/contract work in Córdoba, Spain. This is an on-site position supporting network and IT infrastructure at business-critical sites in and around Córdoba.
Compensation
€19-26/hr (EUR hourly)
Rates vary based on experience level and project complexity. Emergency and after-hours work may qualify for premium rates.
Engagement Type
- Contract/Freelance basis
- Multi-day site projects, typically 2 days from 09:00 to 16:00, working alongside a second engineer
- Project-based or ongoing support
- Remote hands and smart hands services
Key Responsibilities
- Install and connect network equipment and security appliances in comms rooms and network cabinets (MDF/IDF)
- Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations
- Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic)
- Conduct racking, stacking, and labeling
- Perform patch panel and switch port work
- Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues
- Document all work with photos and detailed notes
- Coordinate with remote NOC and client teams
Requirements
- Data center or IT infrastructure experience
- Hands-on experience with network switches, patching and rack installations
- Server hardware and networking knowledge
- Reliable and professional with strong communication
- Lives within commuting distance of the location in the title
- Flexible schedule for project days and on-call/emergency work
