At Saipem, your expertise helps shape the future globally for environmental sustainability.Project:Various Onshore projectsJob Title:Welding EngineerLocation:Fano Office (Italy)Job DescriptionMissionFollow welding through all its aspects from bid phase when welding philosophy has to be set to Project completions, looking at solutions of high quality level and high productivity, according to Project Schedule, monitoring and supporting Production Phase.Promote and support new welding solutions, techniques and consumables to achieve the most competitive and strategic resultsTasksExecute activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements.Tasks IncludeAssist and support the Welding Coordinator and/or project teams on all welding mattersPrepare a nd issue preliminary Welding Documents for assigned project or bidsReview clients specifications and scopes of work,



examine pipe metallurgy and prepare detailed Welding procedures to achieve maximum productivity in accordance with required quality levelsCoordinate and schedule personnel and systems for the qualification of welding procedures and weldersReview Subcontractors Tender Documents And Technical QualificationsAssist QHSE Department on subcontractor assessments/auditsReview and approve subcontractors Welding submissionsEnsure that Welding traceability info are recorded, maintained and available in the required format for all Welding activities to demonstrate achievement of client requirementsReview journals and technical papers for new welding technology. Maintain contact with welding equipment suppliers and consumable vendors to promote advances in welding technologyMaintain updated departmental project Welding files and database so that information is readily available to other department membersLiaise with the barge personnel, particulary welding supervisors and operative welding figures, and assist in optimising work methods and trouble shooting where and when requiredMonitor laybarge progress to identify opportunities for improvementContract Technical review to verify Project Technical requirements for Welding ActivitiesPropose the Base material Purchase str ategy for a fabrication ProjectPrepare and issue Welding Documents (Welding Books, WPSs, WPQR, PTW report, Procedures,
