As a Cloud Engineer in the AI Solutions for Supply Chains team, you will play a key role in supporting and evolving our strategic platforms SCIP (Supply Chain Intelligence Platform) and SCIPPY (Supply Chain Intelligent Planning Agent). You will ensure secure, reliable, and scalable cloud operations while enabling innovation in advanced analytics, GenAI, agentic AI, and digital supply chain solutions. RESPOSIBILITIES

- As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, operation, and continuous improvement of the Azure cloud platform supporting BASF's AI-driven Supply Chain solutions.
- You will enable secure, scalable,



and high-performing applications by combining cloud engineering expertise, automation, and close collaboration with cross-functional product teams.
- Operate, maintain, and continuously improve the SCIP and SCIPPY platforms.
- Design and implement scalable Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Automate platform deployment, configuration, and monitoring.
- Ensure platform reliability, security, availability, and performance.
- Support product teams in deploying analytics, AI, and GenAI solutions.
- Drive platform modernization and cloud engineering best practices.
- Contribute to the implementation of agentic AI solutions and next-generation supply chain capabilities.
- Collaborate with global teams across business, data, AI, and engineering domains.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field with relevant professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in the above fields with several years of relevant experience.

Work experience:

- 3+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure and operations in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and enterprise architecture principles.





Technical and Professional knowledge:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, and / or DevOps.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in:
- Microsoft Azure cloud services
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- CI/CD pipeline implementation and maintenance
- Kubernetes and containerized applications
- DevOps operating models and platform support

- Experience supporting business-critical enterprise platforms.
- Experience operating cloud-native applications with high availability and security requirements.
- Exposure to data engineering and AI workloads.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and platform reliability practices.
- Experience working in agile product teams.
- Fluent (active contribution and participation in discussion including technical topics and terms) in English is essential.
