About the Opportunity An international developer of hyperscale and AI-ready data centre infrastructure is seeking a Grid Connections & Utilities Manager to support the delivery of a growing portfolio of large-scale data centre campuses across Spain.

This is a client-side position responsible for securing and managing the power and utility infrastructure required to support hyperscale developments. Working closely with technical, development and delivery teams, you will play a key role in power strategy, utility engagement, grid connection planning and infrastructure delivery across multiple projects.

This opportunity is ideally suited to professionals with experience in grid connections, substations, transmission infrastructure, utility-scale energy projects or large industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead grid connection and utility infrastructure strategies for hyperscale data centre developments.
- Manage relationships with utility providers, transmission operators and regulatory stakeholders.
- Coordinate grid studies, connection applications and utility approval processes.
- Support the development of substations, transmission infrastructure and external utility networks.
- Review technical studies,



electrical infrastructure designs and utility requirements.
- Manage engineering consultants and specialist infrastructure advisors.
- Support site selection activities through power availability and utility assessments.
- Coordinate infrastructure permitting and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Work closely with development, engineering and project delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support power procurement, resilience planning and long-term infrastructure strategy.

Requirements

- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering grid connection, utility infrastructure or power system projects.
- Strong understanding of transmission, distribution and substation infrastructure.
- Experience working with utilities, TSOs, DSOs or grid operators.
- Background in data centres, renewable energy, utilities, power generation or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong stakeholder management and technical coordination skills.
- Fluent English required. Spanish highly desirable.
