Project Overview:

The Product Manager owns the end-to-end Software CRM product vision and roadmap across the CRM++ value stream, including:

- Single CRM Consolidation
- Entitlements
- Sales Compensation
- WXP Hardening
- Master Data
- SFDC R&M;

This is a generalized role, as the detailed delivery plan has not yet been finalized. The Product Manager is expected to set strategic direction, drive prioritization as the roadmap evolves, and adapt the product strategy as business needs and delivery plans become clearer.

Key responsibilities include defining Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) for cross-program initiatives, aligning business outcomes with technical solution architecture, and leading end-to-end product governance through Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and steering committee updates with L3/L4 Sponsors.

The role also involves coordinating roadmap alignment with the Program Manager and driving cross-organizational product strategy alignment across Digital, EO, HPS, CO, Print, Software Sales, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

- Product Strategy & Multi-Cloud Roadmap

- Platform Vision: Align business objectives, such as accelerating deal velocity and reducing customer support resolution times, with appropriate Salesforce cloud solutions.
- Multi-Cloud Strategy: Define how Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Revenue Cloud (CPQ) work together within the enterprise architecture.
- Feature vs. Buy vs. Standard Evaluation: Determine when to leverage standard Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) functionality, purchase third-party AppExchange solutions, or invest in custom Apex/LWC development.

- Technical Strategy & AI/Automation Governance

- Agentic & AI Workflows: Define the strategy for implementing Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce, Einstein Copilot, and Prompt Builder, to automate multi-step business processes.
- Data Architecture Strategy: Partner with Enterprise Architects to leverage Data Cloud or external data lakes/warehouses, ensuring clean, real-time data flows into Salesforce and enabling unified operational reporting.
- Technical Debt Reduction:

Govern custom code, legacy workflows, and Apex triggers while driving the transition toward standard platform automation, such as Flow Orchestration, to reduce release and maintenance overhead.

- Stakeholder Management & Value Realization

- Executive & Business Alignment: Translate complex business requirements into scalable platform capabilities, acting as the primary liaison between business units (Sales, Support, Marketing, and Operations) and IT/Engineering.
- ROI & Value Tracking: Measure post-release business outcomes, including lead-to-opportunity conversion, user adoption, time-to-close, and platform cost per user.
- Trade-Off Negotiation: Balance competing priorities across revenue-generating and operational teams, translating strategic objectives into actionable MVPs and implementation phases.

- Release Management & Ecosystem Alignment

- Salesforce Release Strategy: Evaluate Salesforce platform releases, identify high-value features, plan sandbox regression testing, and incorporate relevant capabilities into the product backlog.
- Vendor & AppExchange Governance: Manage third-party SaaS vendors, AppExchange licenses, and integrations connected to the Salesforce environment.
- License & Capacity Planning: Monitor platform limits, including API calls, storage, custom objects, and license allocations, to optimize total cost of ownership (TCO).

- Agile Backlog & Delivery Supervision

- Epic & User Story Definition: Structure high-level epics, user journeys, and technical dependencies for Salesforce developers, architects, and administrators.
- Sprint Execution Oversight: Collaborate closely with Salesforce Product Owners and Scrum Masters during sprint planning, backlog refinement, and acceptance validation.
