We are Hiring: Software Automation Engineer (Playwright) | Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid)

We are currently looking for a Software Automation Engineer to join a leading project within the financial services sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an automation testing professional who is passionate about quality engineering, test automation, and delivering reliable software solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Language Requirement:

- Spanish: Native or C1/C2 level (mandatory).
- English: Minimum B2 level.

Work Model:

- Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid, 3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain automated testing solutions based on functional and technical requirements.
- Design, execute, and optimize automated test suites using Playwright .
- Automate functional, integration, and end-to-end (E2E) test scenarios.
- Perform API testing and service validation activities.
- Analyze test results, identify defects, and support issue resolution.
- Contribute to the improvement of automation frameworks, processes, and testing best practices.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience

- Experience in software test automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright .
- Proficiency in TypeScript .
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman , SoapUI , or Insomnia .
- Knowledge of Git and version control best practices.
- Experience working in CI/CD environments .
- Previous experience within the financial services, banking, or insurance sector .
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to Have

- Experience with API test automation.
- ISTQB Certification .
- Additional English language proficiency.
