Community-Based with Hybrid Work OpportunitiesPosition SummaryThe Peer Support Specialist provides direct support and engagement services to individuals with high-acuity behavioral health needs who are participating in Criminal Justice Ministry’s housing and reentry programs. This role serves as a critical bridge between clients and clinical services, helping individuals remain engaged in care while promoting hope, resilience, self-determination, and recovery.
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesBuild supportive, trusting relationships with clients through peer-based engagement and encouragement.
Utilize personal recovery and lived experience, when appropriate,



to inspire hope and model successful community reintegration.
Conduct regular home visits to assess client well-being and provide ongoing support.
Support clients in developing daily living skills, healthy routines, and community connections.
Complete timely and accurate documentation of client contacts, home visits, service activities, and outcomes.
Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required.
Current Certified Peer Support Specialist credential required, or ability to obtain certification within a designated timeframe.
