Through this program, selected students will join Toloka AI as Technical Consultant Apprentices, helping design and deliver AI data solutions for Toloka's customers while earning their degree at Harbour.

Space and Toloka are seeking experienced candidates who want to do apprenticeship at the intersection of consulting, engineering and AI, while advancing their academic careers.
Core Qualifications3+ years of professional experience as a Solution Engineer, Technical Solutions Engineer, Data Scientist, Data/Systems Analyst, or in a similar technical roleBachelor's degree in Data Science, ML/AI, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field such as Physics or Applied MathematicsStrong Python skills for data manipulation (NumPy, pandas), NLP (NLTK, spaCy) and lightweight web services or tools (FastAPI, Flask)Solid understanding of ML concepts and data workflows; familiarity with LLMs and prompt engineeringUnderstanding of software development fundamentals: version control, testing,



MVPs and iterative developmentGood English communication skills (B2+), with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiencesOwnership mindset and the ability to juggle several tasks in a fast-paced, ambiguous environmentNice to HaveExperience with crowdsourcing, expert workflows, or large-scale data labelingExperience with ML training, evaluation, or agentic systemsFamiliarity with quality frameworks, audits, or data validation pipelinesExperience working directly with customers on technical projectsWhat You'll Be Working OnSupporting the team in designing end-to-end data solutions on Toloka's platform, selecting components, workflows and quality controlsConfiguring data labeling components and quality controls, and building user interfaces and AI-driven tooling (agentic systems, RAG, synthetic data generation)Running experiments and pilots to validate quality, throughput and cost assumptionsAnalyzing data to identify failure modes and inefficiencies, and helping optimize solutions through iteration and automationTaking part in customer discovery conversations and helping translate customer needs into solution designsTuition fee scholarship to study a full degree in Computer or Data Science at Harbour.
