OverviewAs part of our R&D; team in Barcelona, you will design and maintain embedded firmware for next-generation diagnostic devices.
You will work closely with hardware and software groups to translate requirements into robust firmware, enabling precise assays and safe manufacturing/testing.
This role blends hands-on prototyping with real-time software and cybersecurity considerations to support world-wide patient outcomes.
You will shape embedded solutions in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

ResponsabilidadesDesign, implement, and maintain embedded firmware (C/C++) for hardware subsystems
Develop low-level drivers, control loops, and real-time components for microcontrollers
Hands-on work with prototype instruments and laboratory tools




Translate product requirements into detailed firmware specifications
Create manufacturing tests, calibration routines, and service diagnostics
Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance with health and safety regulations
Collaborate with hardware, software, and systems teams
Requisitos principalesMaster's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Automation) or Physics
Experience in scientific or industrial instrumentation, preferably in regulated environments
Strong programming skills (Python, C, C++)
Knowledge of AI/ML and data processing is a plus
Advanced level of English (written and spoken)
