Key Responsibilities

- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices using Java and the Spring Boot framework.




- Building and consuming RESTful APIs to support frontend applications and other services.
- Working with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) to design efficient data models.
- Implementing robust error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms for backend services.
- Ensuring the security and integrity of data transmitted across various systems.
- Collaborating with DevOps teams to automate build, test, and deployment processes (CI/CD).
- Participating in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex backend issues in production environments.
- Researching and implementing new technologies to improve system performance and reliability.
- Contributing to the architectural decisions and technical roadmap of the backend platform.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid experience in backend development with Java, and extensive knowledge of the Spring Boot ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture patterns and best practices.
- Experience with designing and managing relational databases (SQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
- Proficiency in building and integrating RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of messaging queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team.
- Fluent in Spanish.
