Software/Infrastructure Engineer | Python / AWS / Crypto | Trading Technology

I'm working with a start-up crypto technology business looking to hire a hands-on engineer who enjoys working across both software development and infrastructure.

What makes this opportunity particularly interesting is that you'll be the dedicated engineer responsible for this area within the team.

Rather than joining an established function, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of the environment in which you will develop and build tooling, and help shape how these systems are built and operated.

It's a genuinely hybrid position, idóneo for someone who enjoys writing code just as much as getting into the detail of cloud architecture, Linux, networking and system performance.

What you'll be working on:

- Building Python-based code to improve infrastructure operations and engineering workflows.
- Designing, deploying and managing AWS infrastructure across EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, ECS/EKS and related services.
- Taking ownership of AWS networking, including routing, VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, VPNs and Direct Connect.
- Improving system reliability, scalability, monitoring and overall infrastructure performance.
- Building and maintaining CI/CD workflows and deployment automation.
- Troubleshooting complex Linux,



cloud infrastructure and networking issues.

What we're looking for:

- 3–7 years of experience across software engineering, cloud infrastructure or DevOps.
- Someone who is comfortable being hire number 3 for this start-up.
- Strong Python skills and a genuine interest in building automation.
- Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and networking.
- Strong Linux knowledge and confidence troubleshooting production systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Someone comfortable working independently, taking ownership and making technical decisions.

Nice to have:

- Experience within trading, financial services or digital assets.
- Exposure to low-latency or high-performance environments.
- A background combining software development and infrastructure engineering.
