AstraZeneca seeks a Transforming Care Lead for Oncology based in Madrid to develop and implement a national strategy for improving cancer care pathways in Spain. The role involves defining multiyear transformation priorities, establishing governance standards, scaling successful initiatives, and coordinating across clinical, commercial, policy, and operational stakeholders to deliver system-level improvements.

Responsibilities

- Define multiyear Transforming Care agenda aligned to company and Spanish healthcare objectives
- Establish pathway mapping standards, bottleneck identification methods, and governance frameworks
- Scale proven models across sites and regions through playbooks and structured implementation
- Drive country-level alignment across Medical, Commercial, Patient Affairs, Market Access, and Digital teams
- Define KPI taxonomy, ensure data pipelines in place,



and lead rapid-cycle learning and best practice dissemination

Requirements

- 10–15 years of transformation experience with system-level delivery and large-scale implementation
- Proven cross-functional, multistakeholder leadership at national or regional levels
- Strong change management, stakeholder engagement, risk mitigation, and governance design skills
- Ability to develop multiyear strategy, establish operating models, and set pathway standards
- Experience negotiating and managing frameworks with authorities, societies, and provider networks
- Data-driven approach to decision-making and performance measurement
- Fluent in Spanish and English
