Provide technical support to other disciplines in the field of competence

C-Bidding phase/Commercial proposal development
Estimation of engineering manhours
Examine project documentation (applicable standards and specifications) in order to identify and report to project critical issues in the field of competence
Examine process and basic design data to evaluate their impact on the material selection activity
Identify main material degradation mechanisms and perform or validate material selection suggesting cost saving strategies whenever possible
Identify areas/items/loops where cathodic protection, coating, lining or chemical inhibition and treatment are required for corrosion prevention or as cost saving alternatives to the selection of corrosion resistant materials
When possible calculate corrosion rate and corrosion allowance by means of qualified and validated commercial software or internally developed tools
Establish or endorse material requirements for critical services (amine, urea, caustic, hydrogen, sour, low and high temperature environments) and transfer them to the involved disciplines
D-Project Execution and Operational Phase
