Overview

In this role you will lead global sourcing for Marketing, Medical Affairs, and related functions, partnering with leaders to shape category strategies and drive value. You will own the supplier strategy for the Global Supplier Category base and oversee the end-to-end sourcing process, from evaluation to contract and performance management. You will collaborate across Legal, Finance, IT, and regional teams to enable cross-functional, cost-efficient procurement and ensure compliance. This position offers the opportunity to influence how external partners support Alexion’s global business platform and R&D; needs, with a focus on inclusion and continuous improvement. Responsabilidades

- Build strategic relationships with Marketing and Medical Affairs stakeholders and key partner functions
- Develop and implement general category strategies and value generation plans
- Own sourcing strategy for the Global Supplier Category base and manage the end-to-end sourcing process
- Lead post-contract management and supplier relationship management with a bias toward continuous improvement
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, change management, and alignment across regions




- Implement supplier performance management and Total Cost of Ownership culture
- Support compliance, controls, and finance-related policies within the procurement framework
- Promote diversity by expanding relationships with diverse suppliers and manage risk and ethics

Requisitos principales
- 7+ years of global procurement experience across marketing, medical affairs, or R&D; categories
- Pharma industry procurement experience, including interactions with CROs and external providers
- Experience with CROs, Clinical Trials, RWD/epidemiological data, outcomes research, and payer access issues
- Strong relationship builder with cross-functional influence across regions and cultures
- High integrity, ethics, and ability to drive change and hold others to standards
- Motivation, energy, curiosity to learn about Alexion’s global business platform
- Bachelor degree in Operations, Finance, Business or comparable discipline; MBA desirable
