An interview may be conducted Minimum score required to pass the selection process: 70 points Additional comments Profile: Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field. Master's degree in Food Quality, Safety and Technology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or a related field. Tasks to be performed: Selection and physiological and molecular characterisation of microalgae and macroalgae, including microscopy techniques and analysis of their responses to physical treatments. Development and optimisation of a pulsed electric field (PEF)-based cascade biorefinery at laboratory scale. Compositional, molecular and techno-functional characterisation of the extracts obtained, including proteins and other biomolecules of industrial interest. Mathematical modelling of the kinetics of permeabilisation, extraction, or cellular responses to PEF. Production of proteins and other biomolecules in quantities sufficient for industrial applications. Preparation of reports and scientific articles.
