The IONITY Operations team is looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to provide diagnostic and technical support during the servicing of our High Power Charging (HPC) stations. You will travel to our HPC sites within a defined region to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities at existing stations. Experience with and confidence in handling such systems is essential. The home office base for this role is located in the Spain.
Provide technical support in order to minimize system downtimeOnsite root cause analysis, service, repair, and maintenance actionsOrdering and handling of spare parts for our HPC stationsDebug systems and perform remote diagnostics on field failures by reviewing logged dataSupport in developing processes, documentation, and diagnostic knowledge for standard service actionsRecognize trends and patterns in field failures and provide feedback to the central team to drive improvementsWork closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure new issues are thoroughly investigated and that corrective measures are implementedTravel internationally when required,



including for internal workshops and cross-border repair missionsCertified professional electrician; additional Environmental, Health, and Safety certifications are a plusSwitching permit for medium voltage devices/transformersApproximately 2-3 years of experience as a field service technician, ideally with similar technical equipmentWillingness to travel regularlysometimes on short notice and for extended periodswith a proactive and solutions-oriented mindsetAvailability for off-hours calls and assignmentsTechnical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalentStrong communication and collaboration skills with external service providersFluency in French and English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an advantageStrong self-management skills with excellent organizational and documentation abilitiesProven ability to manage multiple tasks and challenges simultaneouslyProficiency in standard office and database software (MS Office)Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
