Role Description Working as a Trade Mark Paralegal involves a full-time, hybrid role based in Barcelona, with flexibility for part of the work to be done from home. On a day-to-day basis, the paralegal will prepare and file trademark applications in multiple jurisdictions, manage deadlines and docketing, and assist with opposition, infringement, and cancellation proceedings. The role includes drafting and reviewing correspondence and evidentiary materials as well as subsequently onboarding clients under attorney supervision in English, with possible additional working being done in Spanish, German and (ideally) Dutch. You wil need to communicate with clients, IP offices, and external counsel. Mostly by email, sometimes by phone, and always professionally and proactively. Part-time can be discussed (32 hours, etc). Qualifications




• Proficiency in legal drafting and document management for opposition, infringement, and transfer/licensing matters is highly beneficial. Else, a high degree of business acumen is required.
• Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills to manage multiple deadlines and complex cases.
• Native or near-native English and strong Dutch/Spanish/German/French skills (spoken and written), with clear, professional communication. Languages beside English are a plus but not mandatory.
• High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and proofreading, and commitment to confidentiality and compliance.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with plenty of remote work.
• Prior experience in intellectual property law or in a law firm, corporate legal department, or IP agency is highly beneficial.
• Relevant education such as a paralegal certificate, law degree, or legal studies with a focus on intellectual property is a plus. But again not essential as a high degree of business acumen would also work.
