#BraveAdvocacy Associate – Corporate & Restructuring | Madrid
Kepler-Karst Law Firm is looking to recruit an Associate with 2–3 years of relevant experience in corporate and/or restructuring matters to join our Special Situations team in Madrid. The adecuado candidate will have an international outlook and an bilingual English.
The successful candidate will join a team advising domestic and international clients on complex corporate and restructuring matters, in a demanding environment offering direct client exposure and involvement in sophisticated transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Working on corporate and financing transactions.
- Advising on restructuring, refinancing and insolvency proceedings.
- Drafting and negotiating contractual and transactional documentation in Spanish and English.
- Preparing legal reports, memoranda and opinions.
- Liaising with clients, creditors and other advisers, and coordinating with teams across jurisdictions.
Requirements
- Law degree; admission to practise as an abogado in Spain (or eligibility for admission).
- 2–3 years of relevant experience at a law firm, financial institution,
consultancy or in-house legal department.
- Experience in corporate law, M&A;, restructuring and insolvency, banking and finance, and/or litigation.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken (essential).
- Strong analytical and drafting skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines.
Desirable Qualifications
- Specific experience in restructuring, refinancing or insolvency.
- An LL.M., a postgraduate degree or other specialised international legal training.
- Experience in cross-border transactions.
