As a Senior Data Scientist in Small Molecule Discovery, you design and deliver AI-ready data assets and analytics to accelerate discovery. You bridge scientific workflows with modern data platforms, enabling scalable, well-governed data for machine learning and AI-enabled discovery. You collaborate with medicinal chemists, automation and data teams to transform complex data into decision-ready resources. This role offers the chance to shape data foundations that power next-gen AI applications in our Ru0026amp;D engine.

• Design, develop, and maintain data assets supporting small-molecule discovery workflows
• Transform molecular, synthesis, purification, and assay data into reusable datasets for decision-making and ML
• Define data requirements, business rules, and analytical use cases with scientists and tech teams
• Develop scalable analytical workflows on modern cloud data platforms
• Apply data science methodologies to extract insights from complex datasets
• Ensure data are structured and documented to support AI applications
• Contribute to data standards, metadata practices, and data quality frameworks
• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure scalable, traceable, reproducible data products
• Create model-ready datasets for ML and AI initiatives




• Evaluate opportunities to apply AI within discovery workflows
• Mentor colleagues on modern data science approaches and best practices
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across scientific, technical, and data teams

Responsabilidades
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Cheminformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific discipline
• 5+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences research
• Strong understanding of small-molecule discovery workflows, including molecular structures, reaction data, synthesis workflows, and SAR
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
• Experience with RDKit for molecular/reaction data
• Experience designing analytical workflows and data models for complex datasets
• Understanding of data engineering concepts: data modeling, metadata, lineage, reproducibility, data quality
• Ability to collaborate in a matrixed Ru0026D environment
• Strong communication skills to translate between scientific and technical audiences
