Experteer Overview
As a Senior Data Scientist at Mitek, you design and operationalize ML models that strengthen fraud detection for digital identity products. You’ll work with Product and Fraud Domain Experts to translate real-world fraud challenges into scalable, production-ready capabilities, while ensuring interpretability and governance. You will explore novel signals, calibrate models, and collaborate across Data Engineering to deliver measurable business value. This role offers impact at scale in a flexible, remote-or-office environment.

Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Design, develop, and evaluate ML models for fraud detection, including scoring and ensemble approaches
• Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover complex patterns and create new fraud signals
• Define robust evaluation, calibration, thresholds, and production-relevant performance metrics
• Develop interpretable ML methods to explain scores and decisions to stakeholders
• Explore human-in-the-loop and causal AI techniques for fraud decisioning
• Collaborate with Product and Fraud Domain Experts to translate challenges into ML capabilities




• Partner with Data Engineering to turn prototypes into scalable production solutions
• Contribute to model monitoring, governance, technical documentation, ML tooling, and shared best practices

Responsabilidades
• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field; or equivalent practical experience
• Approximately 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or related role
• Strong knowledge of statistics, supervised ML, and model evaluation for imbalanced problems
• Hands-on feature engineering and ML model development with complex data
• Programming and analytics: Python, PySpark, SQL
• Experience with cloud-based ML and data infrastructure
