Our client, one of the main leaders in the beauty and fashion industry, is seeking an Accountant with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset to join their General Financial Services team based in Barcelona for the Greek market. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international environment, providing financial services to subsidiaries worldwide.

In this role, you will play a key role in executing, supporting, and supervising core financial operations, including general ledger management, journal entry processing, and monthly tax declarations, while ensuring compliance with international standards.

Key languages:

Bilingual proficiency or equivalent in Greek

Full professional level of English

Full professional level of Spanish (a plus) Main responsibilities:

Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes, ensuring compliance with group accounting rules and accurate reporting

Manage and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring reliability and adherence to group and statutory standards

Coordinate quarterly inter-company reconciliations and prepare group financial reports

Collaborate with tax advisors to provide information for monthly tax declarations and corporate income tax calculations

Lead external audit processes and maintain statutory accounting records in line with local standards

Develop yearly balance sheets and cash flow budgets, as well as forecasts

Control and manage fixed assets,

Core skills/experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant in a similar role, preferably in a shared services environment with multi-currency postings and large intercompany reconciliations.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.

Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication, analytical skills, and autonomy, with experience managing international stakeholders.

Expertise in SAP and MS Office tools.

Adaptability to change and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
