Experteer Overview
As Engineering Manager for Agent Data Plane, lead a five-engineer team across Madrid and the US and partner with the project lead to deliver a Rust-based platform for telemetry pipelines. You will drive planning and phased migration of data pipelines from Go to Rust, align with cross-team pipelines, and evolve the data plane into a reusable platform. The role blends technical judgment with people leadership to reduce costs, improve performance, and enable broader adoption across Datadog. You will contribute to open-source storytelling and grow into higher levels of leadership.
Compensaciones / Incentivos
• Lead and grow a five-engineer team across multiple geographies
• Own planning and delivery for Agent Data Plane, including migration from Go to Rust
• Build relationships with logs, metrics, traces, and checks pipelines and the APM Agent team
• Evolve Agent Data Plane into a platform usable by other teams with minimal support




• Collaborate with the technical lead and senior engineers on design decisions related to performance, resource usage, and reliability
• Represent the team in cross-team discussions and help shape on-call rotation
Responsabilidades
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams
• 5+ years of strong individual contributor background
• 2+ years hands-on systems programming in Rust, C++, Go, or C
• Experience owning systems relied on by other teams or customers and guiding incident response
• Led a team through a significant migration or replacement of widely used technology
• Excellent communication with affected teams during migrations
