Overview

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you build and scale the Cloud Foundry-based platform that underpins STACKIT services and Schwarz Group initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, performance, and user-centric design, while contributing to open-source projects such as the BOSH Cloud Provider Interface for STACKIT IaaS. The role combines development, operations, and on-call responsibilities, with a strong emphasis on security, agility, and production-grade delivery. This is a chance to shape a European digital sovereignty platform and influence how we deploy cloud-native solutions.

Responsabilidades

- Develop and improve the Cloud Foundry platform for functionality and scalability
- Ensure high software quality through testing and code reviews
- Integrate the platform with STACKIT services for a user-friendly experience
- Contribute to open-source projects (e.g., BOSH Cloud Provider Interface for STACKIT IaaS)
- Own deployed services with the product team (you build it, you run it)




- Handle day-to-day platform operations and L3 support during business hours; participate in night-time on-call rotations for incident escalations

Requisitos principales

- Extensive programming experience, preferably in Go
- Experience with professional software development methods (standards, build and release management)
- Several years in software system architecture design (design patterns, scalability, resilience)
- Practical experience with CI/CD workflows and automated delivery pipelines
- Experience operating and maintaining scalable applications or cloud platforms in production
- English fluency for international, agile teamwork
