Overview

In this role you will develop and commercialize innovative packaging solutions for ready meals, sauces and dips, supporting both Innovation and Sustainability. You’ll collaborate across Product Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Purchasing and Finance to deliver go‑to‑market packaging that protects product quality while optimizing costs. You will stay current with packaging technologies and adapt them for efficiency in plants and co-packers, driving impact on shelf life, functionality, and overall packaging performance.

Responsabilidades

- Develop and execute primary, secondary and tertiary packaging concepts for shelf-stable, chilled, or frozen foods
- Create go-to-market packaging solutions that enable efficient multi-channel distribution
- Maintain and update packaging specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Monitor packaging technologies and assess applicability to improve cost and system efficiency
- Collaborate with Product Development to define packaging requirements (functionality, protection, shelf life)
- Manage development plans, timelines, and budgets through a stage-gate process
- Build strong internal and external relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams




- Support fast-paced, consumer-driven project environments with effective communication and presentation
- Travel 15-25% as needed to align with plants and suppliers
- Ensure packaging solutions align with sustainability goals and drive business growth

Requisitos principales

- Experience in development and execution of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging materials
- Knowledge of interrelationships between packaging and equipment
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage timelines and budgets
- Excellent analytical, conceptual and communication skills
- Ability to maintain open communication with internal and external teams
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consumer-driven environment
- BS in Packaging Science, Chemical, Mechanical, Plastics Engineering or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in food/beverage packaging
