Overview

In this role you design, build, and operate software and systems that support Firefox engineering. You contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools. You own complex problems end-to-end across software, cloud, and operations, improving reliability, performance, observability, and cost efficiency. You collaborate with Firefox, Cloud Engineering, IT and other teams to solve cross-cutting challenges and guide engineering decisions with data. This open-source–driven environment offers impact at scale and opportunities to shape tooling used across Firefox engineering.

Responsabilidades

- Design, build, deploy, and operate software and systems supporting Firefox engineering
- Contribute to developer tooling, CI/CD, workflow automation, and AI-assisted development tools
- Own complex technical problems end-to-end across software, cloud, and operational layers
- Improve reliability, performance, observability,



and cost efficiency
- Collaborate with multiple teams to solve cross-functional problems
- Use telemetry, metrics, and data analysis to guide engineering decisions
- Contribute to architecture and technical strategy
- Identify recurring problems and craft reusable solutions

Requisitos principales

- Strong programming skills in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; C++ or Rust useful
- Experience building, deploying, and operating production systems in cloud environments
- Infrastructure as code experience (e.g., Terraform)
- Experience across CI/CD, containers and orchestration, networking, databases, observability, or developer tooling
- Experience using data and telemetry to investigate problems and drive decisions
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and their capabilities/limits
