As an Equity Derivatives Trader in Santander CIB, you manage market risk on the equity derivatives trading book and provide pricing and execution for institutional clients. You will work with Sales, Structuring, Risk, and Quants across a integral platform to deliver tailored client solutions while upholding strong governance and risk standards. The role blends risk-aware trading with product expertise, innovation, and cross-team collaboration, in a technology-driven, fast-paced environment. You will influence the franchise’s growth and risk framework, shaping client coverage and hedging strategies.

Responsabilidades

- Manage the market risk of the equity derivatives trading book within desk risk appetite and limits
- Price and execute equity derivatives transactions for clients
- Collaborate with Sales, Structuring, Risk, Quants and Global Markets teams to deliver tailored solutions




- Coordinate with global trading teams to ensure consistent pricing, risk management and client coverage
- Monitor market developments, identify trading opportunities and implement hedging strategies
- Contribute to franchise development through product expertise, innovation and process improvements
- Maintain governance, control and risk management standards while supporting business growth

Requisitos principales

- Minimum 4 years' experience managing equity derivatives in a trading role within Global Markets
- Strong understanding of equity derivatives, pricing and market risk management
- Bloomberg and advanced Excel skills
- Programming knowledge (Python, VBA or similar) and experience with trading analytics tools

- Strong analytical and quantitative mindset
- Excellent communication and collaboration
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment
- Structured equity products (preferred)
- e-Trading platforms (preferred)
- Pricing and risk management of equity derivatives
