Overview

In this role you will help transform a mature WPF-based PMS into a modern, scalable platform used by front-office investment professionals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to modernize UI, upgrade architecture, and implement AI-enabled experiences that improve performance and maintainability. You’ll shape the target architecture and drive phased modernization while reducing technical debt. The role blends desktop and web delivery, API development, and data-layer work to deliver a high-performance investment technology platform. This is an opportunity to influence critical front-office workflows and the end-to-end user experience.

Responsabilidades

- Application Modernization: upgrade and modernize .NET, WPF, and DevExpress apps; refactor legacy components; enhance UX; contribute to modernization plans
- Performance Engineering: diagnose and fix freezes, slowdowns, memory leaks; profile and optimize desktop/server/database components; improve data loading and caching
- Architecture Simplification: reduce legacy dependencies; design modular API-first components; evaluate MongoDB simplifications
- API and Integration Development: build secure RESTful APIs; integrate with trading, risk, reporting, and analytics systems; implement auth, auditing, observability
- AI Enablement:



build AI-powered prompt/chat experiences; integrate LLMs and AI services; develop orchestration and guardrails
- Web and Desktop Delivery: maintain desktop capabilities while enabling web delivery; apply automated testing, CI/CD, secure development

Requisitos principales

- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications
- Strong C# and .NET experience across legacy .NET Framework and modern .NET
- Deep experience with WPF, XAML, MVVM, desktop architecture, and multithreading
- Buy-side investment technology experience (PMS, OMS, EMS or related front-office domains)
- Hands-on DevExpress experience with complex grids and performance-sensitive UIs
- Experience designing RESTful APIs with ASP.NET Core or equivalent
- Python development for services, automation, analytics, or AI components
- Strong SQL Server development and performance tuning
- Experience with Git, automated testing, CI/CD, and Azure DevOps or similar
- Experience creating both web and rich desktop/fat-client applications
- Profiling, diagnostics, memory management, performance tuning, and production troubleshooting
