AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Engineer for Agentic AI in Barcelona to build AI-driven solutions for oncology research, including genomics, computational pathology, and clinical trials. The role focuses on developing and deploying agentic tools and automating complex data analysis processes within a minimum three-day-per-week on-site environment.

Responsibilities

- Build Agentic AI solutions to address scientific research challenges in oncology
- Develop, test, and support Agentic tools for genomics, computational pathology, and clinical trials
- Automate complex data analysis workflows and introduce leading AI technologies
- Collaborate with clinical and scientific subject matter experts

Requirements

- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related quantitative field
- Extensive applied experience in data science, machine learning, or AI engineering
- Hands-on experience building and deploying Agentic AI systems
- Proficient Python/R programming with strong Unix/Linux and SQL database skills
- Production ML deployment experience including model evaluation and pipeline deployment
- Domain knowledge in clinical oncology and familiarity with clinical trial design
