Johnson & Johnson's Innovative Medicine division seeks a Principal Data Scientist to lead end-to-end analytical solutions for clinical development and trial operations. The role involves developing predictive models, real-world data analytics, and GenAI applications to inform study design, enrollment forecasting, and operational planning across integrated stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities

- Lead definition, development, validation, deployment, and adoption of integrated data-science solutions for clinical and operational business problems
- Build predictive models, simulations, and optimization applications for study feasibility, enrollment forecasting, site selection, and protocol design
- Apply clinical, operational, and real-world data to generate evidence on patient populations, treatment pathways, and operational risks
- Develop LLM-enabled workflows for protocol comparison, data harmonization, and clinical-concept interpretation
- Mentor junior colleagues and establish reusable code,

Requirements

- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, biostatistics, health economics, or quantitative discipline; PhD preferred
- At least 5 years of industry experience delivering end-to-end data-science solutions using ML, predictive modeling, or RWD analytics
- Demonstrated experience defining, validating, and deploying analytical solutions for clinical development or real-world evidence decisions
- Hands-on experience with clinical, operational, or real-world data including multimodal and time-series modeling
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, modern ML libraries, optimization tools, and MLOps practices
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and technical-leadership skills

Compensation: €61,800–€106,260 base
