AstraZeneca seeks a General Study Associate Director in Barcelona to lead cross-functional clinical study teams from initiation through closure. The role ensures delivery against timelines, budgets, and quality standards while maintaining regulatory readiness and driving milestone achievement across global operations.

Responsibilities

- Lead cross-functional study teams and oversee outsourced delivery to ensure progression against timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain study plans including quality and risk management strategies with clear escalation pathways
- Oversee external service provider performance and contractual compliance across CROs, labs, and vendors
- Ensure Trial Master File completion and systems accuracy; manage study budget forecasting and financial reporting




- Maintain inspection readiness per ICH-GCP standards and serve as primary contact for audits and regulatory inspections

Requirements

- University degree in medical, biological sciences, or clinical research discipline
- 5+ years pharmaceutical industry clinical experience including 2 years project management
- Extensive ICH-GCP and clinical regulatory requirements knowledge
- Demonstrated project management skills and tool proficiency
- Strong team leadership and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
