D3 Applied Technologies is an engineering company specialised in simulation-driven design for the marine and aerospace sectors. We take sailing yachts, hydrofoils, Olympic sailing campaigns, power craft, ships and fixed-wing drones from concept to optimized performance, combining advanced CFD, composite structural analysis and our own in-house simulation software. We're hiring a Design & Performance Engineer.
What you'll do
• Run CFD (RANS, free-surface, DES) on HPC to optimize lift, drag and efficiency
• Build Velocity Prediction Programs (VPP) and turn results into design decisions and client reports
• Provide loads for composite structural design What you bring
• Degree in aerospace, naval or mechanical engineering; fluent English and Spanish
• Hands-on CFD (STAR-CCM+, Fine-Marine, OpenFOAM or similar), Linux and Python; CAD in Rhinoceros and Siemens NX
• Nice to have: hydrofoils or UAVs, optimization, GPU/C++ ? Santiago de Compostela, Spain
