About the Role
Our client, a prestigious engineering and construction firm renowned for its impactful urban development projects, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Gerente de Proyectos de Construcción to oversee major infrastructure initiatives in León, Guanajuato. This role is integral to the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex construction projects, including transportation networks, public spaces, and utilities. The idóneo candidate will possess a strong background in civil engineering or construction management, a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and regulations. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while prioritizing safety and stakeholder satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Oversee all phases of the construction project lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and closeout.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Coordinate and manage all project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and quality standards on all project sites.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement timely solutions.
Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project.
Procure necessary materials, equipment, and services, and manage vendor contracts.
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, permits,



and environmental regulations.
Manage project finances, including cost control, invoicing, and payment processing.
Foster a collaborative and productive working environment among project stakeholders.
RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
A Master's degree is a plus.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a significant focus on infrastructure projects.
Proven experience managing large-scale, complex construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety regulations.
Excellent leadership, team management, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and BIM technologies.
Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and cost control.
Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and risk‑management abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to travel to project sites within the León, Guanajuato area as required.
Commitment to delivering high-quality results and ensuring client satisfaction.
Knowledge of local building regulations and permitting processes in León, Guanajuato is highly advantageous.
