Our client runs one of Europe’s largest company bike leasing businesses. Employers offer their people a lease bike, most of them electric, as part of their benefits package, and the client handles the leasing, the dealer network and the service. More than 600,000 employees at around 65,000 companies ride through the programme, supported by 8,000 partner dealers.
The business is part of a Dutch family-owned mobility group, and one of Europe’s largest automotive financial services groups holds a significant minority stake. It operates across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France and Switzerland, and is growing across Europe and the USA.
The role:You’ll take technical ownership of the web applications behind the company’s leasing portal. That means UI architecture, scalable components, performance and accessibility across the frontend. You’ll join the core engineering team and work closely with solution architects, product managers and other engineers, testing architectural decisions in code, pairing and reviewing to raise the bar for the team.
This suits engineers who care about how a frontend is built, not just how it looks. The team values long-term architecture and test automation over quick fixes,
and uses AI tools such as Claude Code and Copilot in everyday work.
What you’ll be doing:Architect, build and scale responsive web applications in TypeScript with a modern frameworkBuild accessible, WCAG-compliant UI components with semantic HTML and CSS/SCSSConnect frontends to REST and GraphQL APIs and design predictable, scalable state managementWrite unit, integration and E2E tests, maintain CI/CD pipelines and give thorough code reviewsWhat you’ll need:Senior-level frontend or web engineering experience in agile teamsHands-on WCAG and accessibility experience, plus web security and performance optimisationClean code and SOLID principles, Git, CI/CD and systematic testingA structured, autonomous way of working and active involvement in refinementFluent English (German or Dutch is a plus)Nice to have: design systems or component libraries, Node.js or other backend exposure, AI-assisted development, visual regression and accessibility auditing tools, experience in fully remote European teamsLocation & logistics:Remote-first. You can be based in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium or Sweden, with occasional travel for team gatherings.
