In this Commercial Sourcing Advisor role, you support the Midstream business unit by shaping contracting strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost savings. You will assess operating risks, qualify contractors, and lead bid package processes and negotiations.
The role emphasizes data-driven decision making, total cost of ownership, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize the supply base. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic, growth-focused environment within MPC’s MPLX COPL framework.

- Develop contracting strategies and regional/local sourcing plans to optimize commercial terms
- Lead bid package development through PO execution and coordinate with stakeholders
- Negotiate terms and conditions for service/supply agreements and manage rate sheets
- Perform data analysis, benchmark studies, and TCO/should-cost modeling to inform decisions
- Maintain contract compliance, manage amendments, and liaise with legal and stakeholders
- Foster cross-functional communication and act as a point of contact for supply chain needs
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and value creation; execute strategic sourcing projects
- Collaborate with business units to assess requirements and develop sourcing and contracting strategies
- Support supplier performance issue resolution and qualify contractors against criteria
- Utilize SAP, Ariba, Tableau, M365, TRACK and other tools to drive continuous improvement
Responsabilidades
- Bachelor's degree (required)
- Midstream oil and gas experience preferred
- Travel up to 15%
- Experience with contracting, supplier relationship management, and commercial negotiations
- Ability to perform market analysis, bid package development, and cost modeling
- Strong data interpretation and decision-support capabilities
