They are building out their Madrid deal team to drive origination across the German-speaking market.The roleThis is an origination-focused M&A role covering Germany, Austria and Switzerland, based in the Madrid office. You will own the top of the funnel for the DACH region, building relationships with founders and turning conversations into acquisitions. You will also have exposure to execution, working alongside the wider deal team as opportunities progress to LOI and completion.What you’ll be doingIdentifying and mapping founder-led SaaS and services businesses across DACHRunning direct outreach to founders and owners in German, by phone, email and LinkedInBuilding long-term relationships with owners, often over months or years, until the timing is rightQualifying opportunities and presenting them internally, including initial financial review and investment rationaleSupporting execution on live deals, including valuation,



due diligence coordination and negotiationDeveloping a network of intermediaries, advisers and industry contacts across the regionWhat we’re looking forFluent German(native or near-native), as you’ll be speaking with founders dailyM&A experience in industry, ideally corporate development or in-house M&A at an acquisitive business, serial acquirer, PE-backed platform or investorA genuine appetite for origination: comfortable picking up the phone, starting cold conversations and building trust with foundersStrong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to quickly assess a business’s quality and fitSelf-driven, organised and comfortable managing a large pipelineInterest in software and B2B services businessesSpanish is a plus but not required, as the working language is EnglishWhat’s on offerThe chance to own a region for an active, well-capitalised acquirerReal deal exposure from first conversation through to completionA hybrid role based in Madrid, within a collaborative and entrepreneurial team#J-18808-Ljbffr
