The Opportunity
Our client is looking for an HR Manager to join its newly established Spanish operation in Barcelona and play a key role in building the company's people function from the ground up.
Our client is a fast-growing multinational technology company currently expanding rapidly across international markets. The company has recently opened its Spanish branch and combines an innovative SaaS solution with the latest technology trends, operating at the intersection of technology, innovation and digital transformation.
As the Spanish business enters its next phase of growth, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join at an early stage and shape the people strategy, culture and HR infrastructure of the Spanish organisation.
You will work closely with local and international leadership and will have significant visibility and autonomy within the business.
The Role

This is not a purely operational HR role. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to build, develop and professionalise the Spanish HR function as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the local people strategy in line with the company's international objectives.
Support the company's growth through recruitment, workforce planning and organisational development.
Build and implement HR policies, processes and structures appropriate for a growing organisation.
Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations, performance and people matters.
Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, development, performance management and offboarding.
Support the development of compensation, benefits and reward frameworks.
Ensure compliance with Spanish employment legislation and local HR requirements.
Partner with external payroll, legal and HR providers where appropriate.
Develop initiatives around employee engagement, culture, talent development and retention.
Provide HR reporting, insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Support organisational change and future team expansion as the Spanish business grows.
Contribute to international HR projects and help align best practices across markets.
About You

You will ideally bring:
Proven experience as an HR Manager, HRBP or similar senior HR position.
Strong knowledge of Spanish employment law and HR practices.
Experience managing a broad HR agenda within Spain.
Experience supporting a growing organisation, ideally within technology, SaaS, start-up, scale-up or multinational environments.
Strong experience across employee relations, recruitment, performance management and organisational development.
The ability to operate both strategically and operationally.
Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
A proactive, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
The confidence to work independently and build HR processes from the ground up.
Native-level French.
Fluent Spanish.
Advanced English, with the ability to work comfortably with international stakeholders and leadership teams.
