Hello future Weder ? Weekendesk is a European marketplace for weekend getaways and gift experiences, live in France, Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy. Organic search is one of our largest acquisition channels, and the way travellers search is changing fast: AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini now answer many of the questions that used to send traffic to us. Your Role at Weekendesk ? We're looking for a Senior SEO & GEO Lead to own our visibility across both classic search and AI answers, in 5 markets. This is a senior individual-contributor role, not a people-management one: we want someone who is excellent hands-on, sets the direction and does the work. You'll report to the CMO. Your first 6 months: set up AI visibility tracking across our 5 markets, ship a scalable SEO architecture for our gift category, and measurably grow our share of voice in AI answers on gift queries.

What you'll do
Own the SEO & GEO roadmap
• Build and run one search roadmap across 5 markets (FR, ES, BE, NL, IT), covering classic SEO and AI answers, prioritised by business impact (revenue, not just traffic).
• Track and report what matters: organic clicks, rankings, conversions and revenue, plus AI share of voice, citations and how AI engines describe Weekendesk. Technical SEO
• Own site health: crawlability, indexation, rendering, internal linking, faceted navigation, structured data, Core Web Vitals.
• Write clear specs for Product & Tech, test changes (SEO A/B tests where possible) and make sure they ship. Content SEO
• Lead keyword and intent research, and turn it into page structures and briefs for category, destination and gift pages.
• Work with the Content team on multilingual,



E-E-A-T-strong content that ranks and gets cited. GEO: visibility in AI answers
• Build and monitor prompt sets per market and category; measure where we're cited, where competitors are, and why.
• Make our pages easy for LLMs to read and quote: entity clarity, passage-level structure, schema, freshness, AI crawler access.
• Grow off-site signals AI engines rely on: digital PR, gift guides, partners and comparison sites. Work across the company
• Product & Tech: Work closely with them to make the site technically strong, from architecture and templates to internal linking and page speed, and get SEO changes prioritised and shipped.
• Product & CRM: Partner on ratings and reviews (on-site, Google, Trustpilot) to grow the trust signals that both Google and AI engines rely on.
• Content: Co-build briefs and multilingual content in 5 languages, from category pages to gift guides, written to rank and to be cited.
• SEA: Align on brand and shared keywords so SEO and paid search work as one, not against each other.
• Brand & PR: Shape how Weekendesk is described across the web, and keep a clean, positive SERP and AI answer for “brand + review” searches in every market. Does This Sound Like You? ?
• 5+ years of hands-on SEO, ideally in e-commerce, travel or a marketplace with large page volumes.
• Strong technical SEO: you can audit a site, read logs,



and talk architecture with developers.
• Solid content SEO: intent mapping, briefs, E-E-A-T, multilingual sites.
• Real GEO experience or proven curiosity: you've already tracked or improved a brand's visibility in AI answers.
• Data-driven: comfortable with GSC and GA4, you link SEO work to revenue and can say what didn't work.
• Autonomous and influential without authority: you get things prioritised by Product, Tech and Content.
• Fluent English; French and/or Spanish is a strong plus. Our tools Semrush, Athena (AI visibility), YourText.
