We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a technology team working on digital solutions for the utilities sector in Alicante. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, performance, and scalability of software solutions, combining functional testing, test automation, API and UI testing, and CI/CD integration within an Agile environment. Hybrid work model: 2 days per week in the office during the first 2 months, followed by 1 day per week thereafter. Responsibilities
• Define and execute functional and technical test strategies, scenarios, and test plans.
• Design, maintain, and execute automated tests for APIs and user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support Continuous Testing and secure deployments.
• Manage test plans, test execution, defect tracking, and test coverage using Azure DevOps.
• Analyse test results and collaborate with Development, DevOps, Platform, Architecture, and Product teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Contribute to test environment and test data management.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Refinement, and PI Planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation practices, quality metrics, and root cause analysis. Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance, with strong hands-on experience in test automation.
• Strong experience with Playwright and TypeScript.




• Experience with API testing, REST APIs, and microservices.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Good understanding of asynchronous architectures and messaging technologies such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or K6 is a plus.
• ISTQB certification is a plus.
• Professional English (C1) is mandatory. What do
