Role purpose The Data Migration & Archiving Workstream Delivery Lead is responsible for leading AstraZeneca’s data migration and archiving workstream for the LMS Replacement Programme, working in close partnership with the implementation partner responsible for executing key migration activities. The role combines deep data migration and archiving subject matter expertise with workstream delivery leadership across data discovery, profiling, mapping, transformation, migration dry runs, reconciliation and archiving. Reporting to the IT Delivery Lead, the role owns the detailed workstream plan and delivery of agreed AstraZeneca migration and archiving outputs.

It works closely with Business Delivery, data owners and SMEs, Quality, Testing, the Technical Workstream, the Learning IT BP and Platform Lead, Enterprise Archiving Services and the implementation partner. This role is not accountable for overall technology delivery, the integrated programme plan, programme-level RAID, enterprise data policy, platform ownership, platform standards or programme governance. These remain with the accountable programme roles in line with the programme RACI.

Validation experience is essential.



The successful candidate must have led data migration and/or archiving activities for validated GxP-regulated systems and understand data integrity, traceability, reconciliation, approval and inspection-ready evidence. The successful candidate will be AI-fluent and able to evaluate and apply appropriate automation, analytics and AI- assisted techniques to improve profiling, mapping, cleansing, reconciliation and delivery transparency, within agreed quality and compliance guardrails.
