Role Description

We're looking for an OSS/BSS Process & Functional Design Manager to join a large-scale telecommunications transformation programme. The role will lead the design of end-to-end operational processes, operating models and OSS/BSS functional requirements, ensuring business needs are translated into scalable, implementation-ready solutions aligned with industry best practices and TM Forum standards.

Key responsibilities

- Define implementation-ready Level 3 process flows, including activities, roles, systems interactions, decision points, inputs, outputs and operational controls
- Translate business, operational and technical requirements into functional specifications, BPMN process models, user journeys and solution design artefacts
- Design operating models and process frameworks aligned with TM Forum eTOM and ODA standards, identifying required adaptations to support satellite and telecommunications operations
- Define OSS/BSS functional requirements covering service fulfilment, inventory management, service assurance, ticketing, performance management and customer lifecycle processes
- Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, integration teams and software vendors to ensure process requirements are translated into platform configuration and implementation
- Analyse system interactions and define process-to-API mappings, integration requirements, orchestration logic and operational dependencies
- Establish KPI frameworks, operational reporting models,



SLA/OLA measurements and governance mechanisms to support operational performance monitoring
- Facilitate workshops with client stakeholders to capture requirements, validate designs, resolve gaps and build consensus across business and technology teams

Key skills

- Strong experience in OSS/BSS functional design, business process modelling and telecommunications operations
- Proven experience designing end-to-end operational processes across service fulfilment, service assurance, inventory, customer management and billing domains
- Understanding of TM Forum frameworks, including eTOM, ODA and Open APIs
- Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications, process models and implementation backlogs
- Knowledge of OSS/BSS platforms such as Comarch, Netcracker, Amdocs, ServiceNow Telecommunications, Hansen, Nokia or similar solutions
- Experience with process modelling methodologies and tools such as BPMN, Signavio, ARIS, Visio or Enterprise Architect
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and business analysis capabilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Professional fluency in English

Qualifications

- University degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems or a related discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience in OSS/BSS consulting, telecommunications transformation, business analysis or operational process design
- Demonstrated experience designing operational processes and functional requirements for telecom operators, or managed service environments
- Experience working with network operations, service assurance, fulfilment, inventory or customer management functions would be highly valued
- TM Forum certifications, BPM certifications, Agile methodologies or relevant telecommunications certifications would be beneficial
