As a Senior Python Software Engineer, you will design and implement scalable, maintainable, and production-ready backend services using Python and modern frameworks like FastAPI. You’ll be responsible for defining robust software architectures, applying engineering best practices, designing APIs, and integrating with cloud services. Your work will enable the reliable development, integration, and operation of AI/GenAI services in production environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend services using Python.
• Take ownership of software architecture and technical design decisions, ensuring solutions align with business requirements and long-term maintainability.
• Design and integrate APIs and cloud-based services, ensuring seamless communication between system components.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to integrate and expose AI/GenAI capabilities through production-ready backend services.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through engineering best practices, automated testing, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver, troubleshoot, and evolve production systems.
Must-Have Skills
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Strong Python development skills and proven experience building microservices using FastAPI or similar frameworks.




• Extensive knowledge of software architecture principles and patterns, including Hexagonal Architecture, Layered Architecture, and Clean Architecture.
• Solid understanding and practical application of design patterns, SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices.
• Proven experience designing and implementing REST/gRPC APIs, following OpenAPI standards.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and containerization workflows, including Docker Compose.
• Practical experience developing and integrating services in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience deploying and operating AI/ML/GenAI services in production environments.
• Familiarity with Generative AI architectures and concepts, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, tool calling, and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience integrating LLMs, vector databases, and AI-powered services into backend applications.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools such as Terraform, AWS CDK, GitHub Actions, or cloud-native CI/CD services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, configmaps, secrets).
• Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services).
