Position

IQS School of Engineering offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programmes across a broad range of scientific and engineering disciplines, including Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Medicine and Applied Mathematics.

The Department of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry plays a central role in teaching and research activities within the areas of pharmaceutical and chemical sciences. The department contributes to several undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including the Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and the Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

For the 2027-2028 academic year, we are seeking a talented and motivated academic professional to join our community as a Permanent Faculty Member in the area of Pharmaceutical Technology.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to combine teaching, research, and academic development within a dynamic, international, and industry-connected environment.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the education of the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals while developing an independent research profile and progressively taking on broader responsibilities within the Department and the University.





Key Responsibilities

As a member of the Department of Organic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, you will:

- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Pharmaceutical Technology and related disciplines.
- Design, coordinate, and supervise laboratory-based learning activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of teaching methodologies and academic programmes.
- Develop and strengthen research activities aligned with the strategic priorities of the department and the institution.
- Participate in competitive research projects and contribute to scientific publications, knowledge transfer, and innovation initiatives.
- Foster collaborations with academic institutions, research centres, healthcare organisations, and industry partners.
- Supervise student projects and contribute to mentoring activities.
- Participate actively in departmental, faculty, and institutional initiatives.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or closely related disciplines.
- A Master’s degree in Pharmacy or closely related disciplines.

Specific Requirements

- A good command of English, with the ability to teach effectively in this language.
- A track record of publications in international peer-reviewed journals and/or patents.
- A strong interest in combining high-quality teaching with research and knowledge transfer.

The following will be considered valuable assets:

- Postdoctoral experience in the field of Pharmaceutical Technology and/or relevant industrial experience.
- Previous teaching experience at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Participation in and/or leadership of competi
