About the RoleOur client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Safety Engineer to join their team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape .

You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive safety programs, conducting risk assessments, investigating incidents, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

You will be a key advocate for safety within the Queenstown facility.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and manage the company's industrial safety program.Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs)



for various operations and tasks.Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees at all levels.Ensure compliance with national and international safety standards and legislation.Maintain accurate safety records and documentation, including incident reports and training logs.Promote a positive safety culture through communication, engagement, and leadership.Advise management on safety policies, procedures, and best practices.Stay updated on changes in safety regulations and industry trends.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial safety engineering or a related role.In-depth knowledge of OHSAS */ISO * standards and relevant South African safety legislation.Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and developing safety programs.Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.BenefitsOur client offers a competitive salary, comprehensive health and wellness benefits, and opportunities for professional development and certification.
