* Research in signal processing in acoustics Requirements Research Field Engineering Education Level Master Degree or equivalent Skills/Qualifications Skills in acoustics, optics, audio signal processing. Specific Requirements Education in acoustics and optics. Knowledge of acoustical measurement techniques, as well as physical acoustics, optics and optical interferometry. Experience in acoustic signal processing. Additional comments We are offering a fully funded PhD position at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) within the ERC CoG project “Scalable Spatial Sensing and Dynamic Reconstruction of Complex Sound Fields (SONIFY)”.




This project provides a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research in acoustics, sound field analysis, spatial audio and room acoustics. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a strong background in acoustics, audio engineering, signal processing, and related fields. The successful candidate will join an international research environment focused on advancing next-generation methods across experimental, virtual and computational acoustics. The PhD positions will be hosted in the Department of Audiovisual Engineering, under the guidance of Efren Fernandez Notable. The position offers:
