For our client, a leading multinational company in the financial services sector, we are seeking for a:

Data & Analytics Director to lead its data, analytics and artificial intelligence strategy and turn it into a source of competitive advantage and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities;

- She/He will define and lead the data, analytics and AI strategy, aligned with business objectives.
- She/He will analyse information to identify needs, risks and opportunities, and propose solutions, alternatives and improvements.
- She/He will direct the planning, execution and monitoring of data and AI projects, ensuring the quality of deliverables and the achievement of objectives.
- She/He will drive data governance: data quality, lineage, cataloguing and metadata management.
- She/He will take advanced analytics and AI use cases into production with measurable impact, within a responsible AI framework and in compliance with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
- She/He will build close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, understanding their needs and delivering value-adding solutions.
- She/He will create and develop a team, bringing experience, knowledge and energy while fostering its autonomy.
- She/He will ensure delivery excellence, applying the right methodologies and anticipating risks.




- She/He will proactively identify business opportunities and lead the preparation and presentation of proposals within her/his area of responsibility.

Profile:

- 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, preferably in financial services.
- Proven experience leading teams and end-to-end data and AI projects.
- Hands-on experience in data governance and metadata management.
- Solid knowledge of the data and AI ecosystem (data platforms, SQL, reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau, Python, machine learning and generative AI), deep enough to lead specialised teams with credibility.
- Business development skills and the ability to engage with senior leadership.
- Fluent English is essential, as the role involves international projects.
- Madrid-based or willing to relocate.
