At Paul Marlex , we are looking for a Local Financial Controller Associate to join the team at our offices in Madrid.

What will your role be in the company?

Ensure that the local entity’s accounts are accurately stated and that robust controls are in place to minimise risks and support reliable financial statements. The role is responsible for the accurate recording of transactions, timely month-end closing and financial reporting to Headquarters, in accordance with Group policies, internal procedures, Local GAAP and IFRS. It also provides accounting guidance to the business and works closely with local and integral stakeholders.

Your responsabilities would be:

- Ensure the quality,



accuracy and timely execution of the local reporting unit’s closing process, in line with established deadlines, Company policies and applicable accounting principles (Local GAAP and IFRS).
- Advise senior management and business stakeholders on the accounting implications of current operations and proposed business decisions, providing practical solutions or alternatives in accordance with corporate policies and IFRS requirements.
- Review relevant elements of the financial statements, including critical, sensitive and judgemental areas;
prepare balance sheet forecasts and perform monthly general ledger
