About the Role Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supervisor of Loading and Unloading Operations to manage the vital processes at their **Tarragona** facility. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of the loading and unloading process for trucks and containers.
- Supervise, train, and schedule a team of warehouse operatives engaged in loading and unloading activities.
- Ensure that all goods are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Monitor and manage dock operations, ensuring optimal flow and minimizing delays.
- Implement and enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations within the loading dock area.
- Maintain equipment used in loading and unloading (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and report any maintenance needs.
- Coordinate with the transportation department to ensure timely arrival and departure of vehicles.
- Conduct regular inspections of the loading dock area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety.




- Manage inventory counts related to incoming and outgoing shipments, reporting any discrepancies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing loading/unloading efficiency and safety.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or logistics environment, specifically focusing on loading/unloading.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse staff.
- Strong understanding of safe loading and unloading practices and warehouse safety procedures.
- Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding and fast‑paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
- Familiarity with local regulations and best practices in **Tarragona**.
